Famous Photographer.

Philip Hyde was born and raised in San Francisco in 1926. He lived in a house he built in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, for 50 years.  He first got into photography in college when he took the Ansel Adams Photography program at the California School of Fine Arts. He took his first landscape photograph in 1942.  He was working as a photographer for 51 years.  Philip’s type of photography is mainly nature and landscape.  He made a living by selling his photographs.  With every one he sells, he donates a portion of the profit to environmental causes.  He stopped taking photographs in 2000 because of his loss of eyesight, and then later died at age 85 in 2006.  I personally love his photographs; they are so pretty and so unique. His photos have been seen in many well known things, like The New York Times and National Geographic.  He is very well known for his photography.  He was named one of the best outdoor photographers of the 20th century.
